Jealousy  Is A Wonderful Booster Of Hope

Jealousy a wonderful booster image

If there is anything that kills faster than a disease is jealousy.

Jealousy is cruel as the grave with vehement flame, it knew no bounds and got nothing to do with your education, financial status, exposure, skin color intelligence, affluence influence, spiritual stability to mention a few.

Jealousy is an epidemic;  is like an organism that has to go through metamorphic stages,  for instance, how do you describe a well-established couple with everything at their beck and call yet jealous of one with a lesser status?

Proverbs 6 describes jealousy as the rage of a man that won’t spare in the day of vengeance, The book of numbers threw more light and called it the spirit of jealousy(Spirits  don’t die)

In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God, In other words, Jesus is the word,” which is God”  if you confess the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead you are saved,

Because with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For every spirit that confessed that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God, let’s see the book of John, 1 John 4:15     “Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God.”

‘Note’ God dwells in him, “if he lives in us, of his fullness we have received, jealousy inclusive.

Exodus 34:14 “For the lord whose name is jealousy is a jealous God.”

Let’s analyze this. The Greek word for jealousy in this verse of the scriptures is “qanna it’s pronounced kan-naw,” it is same Greek word used in Deuteronomy 5;9.

For whatever reason jealousy could be negatively or positively induced, pending on the context. The Greek word for jealousy in {1 Corinthians 10:22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy are we stronger than he “Parazeloo”}.

It is pronounced (par-ad-zay-lo-o)    meaning to stimulate alongside, excite to a rivalry. (Romans 10:19, 11:11 inclusive) while in” 2 cor11;’2 it’s zeloo pronounced (dzay-lo-o) which means  to have warmth feeling for or against,

One verse of the scriptures that caught my attention was ” Zechariah 8v2 “thus saith the Lord of host” I was jealous for with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.”

Note the word jealousy reflects three times, The first is the Greek word qanah “kan-naw” make zealous in a bad sense, while the second is the Greek word qin ah “kin-aw”

Therefore jealousy, in my opinion, is inevitable but must be rightly channel, It’ is a  tool that could kill and as well save.

Simon was a sorcerer who later believed in Christ, he was baptized and propagate the gospel with Philip, but because his heart was not right he became envious of the apostles, Peter said you’re the gall of bitterness, Jealousy spout bitterness, envy, strife,  slander, etc. The Greek word for bitterness is” pikra (pik-ree-ah) it  means poison.”

Extreme wickedness, Bitter hatred, Ephesians 4;31 let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice, The question is how you would channel yours?
